Marvin Elder – Co-founder, CEO, CCO (Chief Cognitive Officer)
Mr. Elder authored the company’s core software, Natural Language Query, for which he filed a Patent Application on May 8, 2014. Among its patent pending claims is the key “Teach the Computer” feature.
Mr. Elder is a bonafide pioneer in Natural Language Data Search, having invented the first desktop database application in the U.S. with built-in Natural Language. That product, Salvo, was voted by PC Magazine as one of “The Nine Best Database Products of the Year” in 1984, and Marvin Elder was awarded Software Entrepreneur of the Year by Future Computing. Marvin retired briefly after 45 years of successful ventures in the I.T. industry, serving in I.T. Management positions and running his own successful I.T. consulting firm for a number of years. When IBM’s Watson won the Jeopardy contest against humans, and then siri came upon the market, Marvin “unretired” and founded the company Real Time Answers LLC to develop his new ideas in Natural Language Search. Upon bringing his co-founder and CTO aboard, the current company was formed and is enhancing and perfecting the methodology. Marvin has an M.B.A. degree from S.M.U.
Craig Tuttle – Co-Founder, Director of Business Development and Marketing
Mr. Tuttle has over 20 years experience as a software consultant and developer and has sold and implemented two major inventions of Cognal’s CEO Mr. Elder since 1991. He has been responsible at every level the software life cycle, started and operated his own IT consulting company, Cyplains Corporation, and he worked as a manager in other IT companies in a number of roles. At TriHydro in Laramie Wyoming, he sold and his team implemented an early version of Cognal’s Natural Language product in Wyoming’s Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ). Craig holds an M.B.A. degree from Texas A&M University.
